Scott Richter CFA, CMT, CHP is the Chief Investment Officer of Trust Company Family Offices and works together with a seasoned team of 7 investment professionals.  Trust Company Family Offices provides valuable expertise in the areas of Trustee Services, Wealth Planning, and Investment Management.  

With over 28+ years of investing experience, he has seen and navigated the investment process through many market cycles. He specializes in asset allocation, manager due diligence, portfolio strategy, and risk management.  Additionally, Scott serves as the investment chair for two private foundations and is an appointed investment expert for a major public pension system.

His masterful presentation to the Wealth Management Society in 2025 – “Bull Three Peat or Bear Defeat” was prophetic and he’s looking to be “right” in 2026, yet again!  

 
Scott is a graduate of the University of Rochester and the Harvard Graduate School of Business.  During the global financial crisis, he was a frequent guest/contributor to CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business, Barron’s and Reuters.  He holds the CFA charter, the CMT charter, and the Chartered Hedge Fund Certificate in Due Diligence.
